The Robinson Run Bridge, located at the intersection of Station Street and Noblestown Road in the Sturgeon neighborhood of South Fayette Township, is closing for a $1 million replacement project from May 13, 2019, until late December 2019, according to Allegheny County.
Station Street is closing between Noblestown Road in North Fayette Township and McNary Street in South Fayette Township. The official detour uses Cemetery Hill Road, Robinson Run Road, Laurel Hill Road and Noblestown Road.
The detour for Water Street uses Chestnut Street, Main Street, Station Street, Cemetery Hill Road, Robinson Run Road, Laurel Hill Road and Noblestown Road.
The bridge is located near the Sturgeon Station of the Panhandle Trail.
The closure is required to replace the structurally deficient Robinson Run Bridge No. 4, including replacement of the bituminous pavement, drainage, guide rail, signing and pavement markings, and other miscellaneous construction. Please use caution when traveling through the area.
Carmen Paliotta Contracting, Inc. of South Park is performing the work for Allegheny County, which owns the bridge.
