A draft of the Active Transportation Plan is available for public review and comment through Aug. 1, 2024.
The public is invited to review the draft plan and provide any input using the online feedback form. Adoption of a final plan is anticipated to occur in September 2024.
Active transportation refers to any non-motorized mode of transportation, such as walking, bicycling or using mobility devices.
South Fayette Township has received an $11,250 WalkWorks grant to fund development of ath eplan, which will serve as a roadmap for the community to provide high-quality, connected facilities that enable all people to safely engage in physical activity. The plan also will provide a framework for pursuing funding and implementing a wide variety of projects, programs and policies.
