First Energy/West Penn Power will be trimming vegetation this year along its 3.3 miles of transmission lines in South Fayette Township. Affected property owners will be notified directly this spring. Work will occur throughout the summer and fall.
Required vegetation management work, including some tree removal, occurs in transmission line rights-of-way in order to ensure safe and reliable electric service.
