  • Motorized vehicles are prohibited.
  • 2.73 miles of the Panhandle Trail are located in South Fayette Township, between mile markers 3.04 and 6.49. The stretch lies between Oakdale and McDonald, with some North Fayette and Oakdale portions interspersed. The South Fayette sections are these mile markers:
    • 3.04 to 3.58
    • 4.02 to 4.41
    • 4.69 to 6.49
  • South Fayette's Mill Street crossing, off Noblestown Road and Scotch Hill Road, has a parking lot.
  • The Sturgeon station includes parking, permanent restrooms and a picnic shelter, with local private restaurants such as Hunner's and Valentour's.
